Why do we do what we do?

Why are you a writer?

Why do you enter contests, sit and stare at a screen, endure the rejection letters.

I don't know that we've ever talked about this before ...

So why?

There's nothing like the feeling of writing a story - even with all the pain, angst and frustration. I love writing The End and I love hearing from readers who enjoyed the warped crap that came out of my brain.

But seriously, I think it's some sort of masochistic urge that I'm addicted to...lol.

The voices in my head need an outlet.

It's either write or admit myself to a padded room.

Because we have to write the story no matter what. Of course, we all want our books to publish, but if you're a writer, you write the books anyway, because you have to.

Like Ann said, "the voices need an outlet."
